It uses an enriched (with milk and butter) dough and the usual sourdough starter&#8230; if you haven&#8217;t got a starter take a look at &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/davidashe.info\/blog\/get-your-starter-started\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5088\">Get your starter started<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2-3 tablespoons of starter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>150g water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>550g plain flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50g butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80g sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g mixed fruit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoon of mixed spice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of cinnamon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start by preparing a leaven &#8211; place 2-3 tablespoons of your starter into a bowl and add 50g of water, mixing until smooth. Now add 50g of plain flour and mix again. I like to wipe the sides with vegetable oil and then coat with flour.
